Karma's Story

Karma was born on October 26th, 2011. She was born from a pit bull litter we had. She was fine, just like all of the other puppies. Healthy, Vibrant, Playful, and Curious. During week 7, December 22nd, 2011 she started having uncontrollable seizures. Back to back every 20 seconds or so. Like any responsible pet owner, we took her to the vet immediately. The prognosis on her living was very slim. She wasn't responding to treatment. The day after Christmas (26th) we went to put her to sleep, because it seemed that she wouldn't pull through. We get there and my vets assistant says, "You're not going to believe this!" She brought Karma out into the room and my vet tells me he wants to give her a week longer. "She started to drink water", they told me. That was the first time since she had been there that she drank water on her own. As the week went on she got better and better. Drinking water, Eating canned food, standing, and sitting up. They told me that I would be able to pick her up January 5th, 2012. :)
